Customer

The customer complies to these terms and conditions when purchasing goods and services in Pyhän Asteli Resort through the web service.

Online bookings

The booking online is confirmed once the client has paid full amount. All reservations made online will be 100% charged from client’s credit card. If the client wishes to change the booking, we will charge a change fee € 20, 00. All changes need to be made to Pyhän Asteli reception: info@pyhanasteli.fi / +358 – (0)40 – 188 7777.

Individual bookings

The booking is confirmed once the client has paid the deposit (30%) and handling fee € 12.00 (€ 20.00 overseas) by the due date. The advance payment is to be paid 2 weeks after the reservation is made. Due date for final payment is 6 weeks before the arrival.

If the booking is made less than 6 weeks before the arrival day, there will be only one invoice and the invoice must be paid as soon as the invoice arrives.

The client must be of legal age. If part of the guests are less than 18 years of age, they must have written approval from their parents, unless they are staying with their parents or with some other family members.

A pet is charged a separately (€20.00/pet/reservation). Pets are allowed only to certain log cabins and holiday apartments, not in the Aurora Igloo huts or Aurora Suites. Always check beforehand from Pyhän Asteli can you bring a pet or not to your accommodation. Pets must be kept on a leash and in good control. The owner is responsible for compensating any damages incurred by pets on the property or its fittings and furnishings to Pyhän Asteli. Any damages caused must be immediately informed to Pyhän Asteli. If the customer brings a pet without informing Pyhän Asteli, double cost will be charged and possible extra cleaning costs 50 €.

Cancellation of an individual booking

Cancellation must be made by a letter or by e-mail to Pyhän Asteli. Cancellation will be considered made when the information has reached Pyhän Asteli. If the client can prove that the cancellation has been made and sent to the right address at the right time, a cancellation may be accepted even if it arrives late or not at all. Refund will be paid to the account specified by the client.

  1. When the cancellation is made 6 weeks before the arrival date, payment will be refunded minus 10 % and the handling fee € 12,00.
  2. When the cancellation is made later than 6 weeks before the arrival date, the full amount of the reservation will be charged.
  3. If the cancellation is made because of clients or client’s family member’s serious sickness, accident or death before the arrival date, the payment can be refunded if the client has a legitimate medical certificate. Handling fee € 12,00 and 10 % of the full amount will be charged.
  4. If the holiday is interrupted because the client or client’s family member’s serious sickness, accident or death during the stay, all charges are not refundable.
  5. If the client changes the reservation, we will charge a change fee € 20, 00.

Pyhän Paroni Oy / Pyhän Asteli has the right to cancel the reservation in the case of force majeure. The client will receive a full refund of the payment

Group bookings (Group of 11-50 persons)

The booking is confirmed once the client has paid the deposit (10%) and handling fee € 12.00 (€ 20.00 overseas) by the due date. Deposit is not refundable in case of cancellation. The Deposit is to be paid 14 days after the reservation is made. 50 % of the final payment need to be paid 45 days before arrival date. Due date for final payment is 21 days before the arrival.

If the booking is made less than 45 days before the arrival day, there will be only one invoice and the invoice must be paid as soon as the invoice arrives.

Rooming list need to be sent to Pyhän Asteli reception 14 days before arrival.

Group bookings (Group of 50 persons and more) and booking series

Group bookings bigger than 50 persons and booking series can be agreed case by case.

Cancellation of a group booking

Cancellation must be made by a letter or by e-mail to Pyhän Asteli. Cancellation will be considered made when the information has reached Pyhän Asteli. If the client can prove that the cancellation has been made and sent to the right address at the right time, a cancellation may be accepted even if it arrives late or not at all. Possible refund will be paid to the account specified by the client.

  1. When the cancellation is made 45 days before the arrival date, payment will be refunded minus 10 % (deposit) and the handling fee of € 12,00. (€ 20.00 overseas).
  2. When the cancellation is made later than 44 – 14 days before the arrival date, deposit, handling fee € 12,00 (€20,00) and 50% of the final amount will be charged.
  3. When the cancellation is made 13 – 0 days before the arrival 100% will be charged.
  4. If the cancellation is made because of clients or client’s family member’s serious sickness, accident or death before the arrival date, the payment can be refunded if the client has a legitimate medical certificate. Handling fee € 12,00 and 10 % of the full amount will be charged.
  5. If the holiday is interrupted because the client or client’s family member’s serious sickness, accident or eath during the stay, all charges are not refundable.
  6. If the client changes the reservation, we will charge a change fee € 20,00.

Pyhän Paroni Oy / Pyhän Asteli has the right to cancel the reservation in the case of force majeure. The client will receive a full refund of the payment.

COVID-19 International travel restrictions and flight cancellations

The customer does not have the right to deviate from the booking and cancellation terms and conditions and does not have the right to cancel their booking on the basis that the customer that made the booking or the guests are not able to arrive at the accommodation at the booked arrival time as a result of the travel restrictions imposed by Finland or the country of departure as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Travel restrictions do not count as “Force Majeure” events/circumstances, as international travel restrictions which are due to the COVID-19 pandemic are not unforeseen. In this situation, the customer’s cancellation and no-shows will be subject to the standard booking and cancellation terms and conditions.

The above also applies in the event that the customer or the guests cannot enter Finland due to the cancellation of flights or changes in schedules. Flights may be cancelled and rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and are not “Force Majeure” events/circumstances as these circumstances are not an unforeseen situation.

Arrival and accommodation

  • The check-in time is at 16.00 on the arrival day and the check-out at 11.00 on the departure day. A later check-out must be agreed in advance and may cost extra.
  • The client collects the keys to the cabin/apartment at Pyhän Asteli’s reception. The opening hours can be seen at www.pyhanasteli.fi or by telephone +358 40 188 7777.
  • Pets are charged separately (€ 20.00/pet/reservation) and must be notified in advance. Pets must be kept on a leash and in good control. The owner is responsible for the pet.
  • The client is responsible for the cabin/apartment key. Lost key will be charged separately (serialization of the locks + shunting).
  • Cabin/apartment must not be used by more people than what is reported. The use of a motor home or a trailer or a tent in the cabin/apartment yard is prohibited.
  • The client is obliged to pay all damages in the cabin/apartment caused by the client or by any member of the party staying in the cabin/apartment. Parents or guardians are responsible for the damages made by a child under 18 – years.
  • Pyhän Asteli is not responsible for any items left by the customer at the accommodation.
  • All complaints and remarks related to the cabin/apartment equipment are to be shown to the Pyhän Asteli staff immediately. Complaints made afterwards will not be taken into account.
  • All accommodation units has free internet connection. Any possible interruptions or problems occurring with these internet connections must be immediately informed to Pyhän Asteli in order to enable speedy rectification. Pyhän Asteli will not issue reductions in the accommodation rate due to problems related to the functioning of the internet connection.
  • Smoking is allowed only outside the cabin/apartment.
  • If the client has smoked inside the cabin/apartment, the client is obliged to pay the costs of the smell removal, € 300.
  • Pyhän Asteli accepts no responsibility for any allergic symptoms or other problems incurred its customers from unauthorized smoking or animals. If the accommodation destination description states that pets are not welcome, this does not mean that the accommodation in question is suitable for allergy sufferers.
  • If the client causes any disturbance or danger for the other clients in the area and will not change his/her behavior despite any notice made by the staff, Pyhän Asteli has the right to terminate the reservation immediately.
  • Pyhän Paroni Oy / Pyhän Asteli has the right to correct any pricing errors (eg. brochure errors, taxes affecting the prices and public fees etc.)

Pyhän Asteli reserves the right to make changes.
